Cove retired in October 2024 as President and CEO of the Sports & Fitness Industry Association (SFIA), a role he’d held since 2004. SFIA is the trade association of leading industry and sports and fitness brands, suppliers, retailers and partners. He oversaw SFIA’s award-winning research on sports participation trends in the United States, and has spoken regularly on youth sports issues. He has also served on the Board of Directors of USA Football. Prior to assuming the CEO role in 2004, Cove served as SFIA’s Vice President, Government Relations for 14 years.
